Growing up in a semi-urban area of India, I rarely saw high-end automobiles; yet, when I visited my relatives in larger cities, the luxury automobiles always astonished me. In my childhood, I never played with toy vehicles; instead, I spent hours dismantling them to learn about their features and functions. This curiosity evolved into a full-time job over time. This background, together with my Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, has fueled my interest in automobile engineering. I am now prepared to dive into a variety of options that align with my professional goals, and I believe that a Master’s Degree in Automobile Engineering will serve as a stepping stone for me to meet the needs of the global automobile business. As a result, I am submitting this application to study at your esteemed college and benefit from your outstanding achievements.
My Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering was an interesting course that piqued my interest in engineering. It was an interactive training that helped me comprehend the fundamentals and acquire critical technical abilities. It expanded my expertise in a variety of areas, including machinery dynamics, machine design, machine element design, thermodynamics, and so on. We competed in the National Engineering Challenge Competition in our third year. In the Aeronautical Challenge round, I represented my college with two other participants, and we came in second place.
My undergraduate final year project was ‘Designing of Hybrid Bike,’ in which the hybrid vehicle will be powered by more than two energy sources. A hybrid electric vehicle combines two sources of energy: fuel and a battery. When little power consumption is necessary, a battery drive is employed, and when high power application is required, a gasoline engine is used. A hub motor was created by us. We computed the grade resistance, total tractive effort, and wheel motor torque after determining the rolling resistance and acceleration force. We also calculated the battery’s charging time using an adaptor. I had a great time working on this assignment, and my professors were really appreciative of my efforts.
In 2018, I applied for a recruiting drive at my institution and received offers from two firms. I took the position of Jr. Production Engineer with ‘Hyundai Motor India Ltd.’ I spent almost two years in this position, addressing critical tasks such as quality management, process management & safety, ISO standard implementation, and energy and environmental saving efforts. I obtained experience in die problem analysis, correction, sheet metal, die repair, and action during my first year on the job. Over the course of two years, I’ve improved my presentation and interpersonal abilities, as well as my capacity to deliver more than expected in the smallest amount of time. In January 2021, I was promoted to Senior Production Engineer at Hyundai Motors.
In 2020, I completed the Professional Program Certificate in Electric Cars, an edX-based online program produced by the Dutch Innovation Centre for Electric Road Transport (Dutch-INCERT) and TU Delft.
Swimming and gymnastics have been a part of my life since I was in elementary school. In high school and college, I competed in many gymnastics events and earned awards for Parallel Bars, Vault, and Pommel Horse. Swimming is also something I like, especially for its health benefits.
Given my enthusiasm for automobiles and my professional choices, I believe I am qualified to pursue a Master’s in Automobile Engineering and get international experience. The Master’s program provides a broad curriculum and in-depth study of modules relevant to my field of study. I’m looking forward to putting my thoughts into action through project work, assignments, and presentations. This degree will allow me to pursue my lifelong passion of designing and engineering premium automobiles. I want to work with luxury automobile brands like Bentley, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover, and others since I have an instinctive talent for design.
The veneration for the University of………………. is reflected in its research-oriented education and superb instruction. Learning from your renowned teachers and industry leaders is a privilege for me. Their ability to give the greatest theoretical and practical instruction in a variety of subjects is undeniable. For my own development, I wish to be a part of the university’s many student organizations and groups.
