My fascination with computers, like that of every other child of my generation, has driven me to interact with them at every opportunity since I was first introduced to them. In school, my personal computer was my best friend, and experimenting with its functions to test its limitless capabilities piqued my interest in pursuing a career in computer science later on. I first realized the true scope of computer science when I began studying it as a subject. I have been so inspired by recent developments and groundbreaking research in computer technology that I have gone to great lengths to put what I have learned into practice. I am currently in an excellent position to pursue a graduate degree from an internationally renowned institution such as yours.
In 2011, I was accepted to the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS-Pilani) for a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science after graduating from high school. I was completely satisfied with my decision and enjoyed studying the subjects during the first few months of my course. In my senior year, I worked on a project called “Band-Aids for Broken Microprocessors,” in which I devised a method to (technical details about the project…………………………..) We later entered it into a poster presentation competition and won first place. Throughout my undergraduate program, I gained extensive knowledge of Java, Python, C++, and Go through various projects.
In 2016, I began an internship as a Business Analytics Intern with Ernst & Young (E & Y) in India. This was my first foray into the corporate world, and I was able to apply what I had learned in school to real-world projects. This internship improved my interpersonal skills and increased my confidence in client interactions and team meetings. I could express my ideas in a team, which my managers highly appreciated.
In 2017, E & Y extended me a job offer based on my performance as an intern. I started at E & Y as a Junior Software Tester and stayed for two years, until 2019. This position provided me with extensive experience with security frameworks, software development, and architecture. My responsibilities included data testing, automation, data correction, report generation, and data conversion into various formats. I also assisted E & Y’s Asia-Pacific clients with API and manual testing for major projects.
In 2020, I received an offer from Credit Suisse, India, which seemed exciting. For this job, I moved to Pune, where I am still employed as a Senior Software Architect. My time at the company has been fruitful and mentally rewarding because I have had the freedom to put my ideas into action and lead the team to outstanding deliverables through teamwork. In my employment years, I have developed team-leading skills, which I believe are my greatest assets. I can lead my team and motivate them to achieve the organization’s objectives in the shortest time possible. I became an expert in BLC, STLC, and SDLC for specialized database testing models while working at Credit Suisse.
Apart from academics, I was a state-level badminton player in college, winning two silver medals at the district level. Mentoring underprivileged children and bringing out their creativity is another way I spend my free time. From 2017 to 2019, I volunteered for an NGO called ‘Ashray,’ where I met these kids twice a week and gave them counseling. I assisted them in discovering and realizing their hidden talents in order to become financially self-sufficient. I have mentored 11 students and encouraged them to work, earn, and improve their lives. This experience was invaluable in honing my interpersonal skills and teaching me how to communicate effectively with people of various ages. In the future, I would like to contribute to such activities and combine them with my academic knowledge. I want to create e-learning solutions for people with disabilities and children who are struggling financially.
With a Master’s degree in Computer Science, I will be able to work on challenging, innovative projects and put my ideas into action. After gaining international experience, I hope to launch my own tech company in my home country in a few years. I am confident that my international experience will enable me to deliver results on projects aimed at improving education. In the long run, I want to create jobs for competent engineers all over the world and bring them together under one roof to conduct high-tech research.
