Seeing a village transform into a modern city inspired me to pursue Civil Engineering as a Bachelor’s degree. My town’s infrastructure development demonstrates that this field offers limitless opportunities for growth and creation. Durable structures and appealing architectural structures necessitate not just imagination, but also rigorous engineering and management. With a Master’s in Construction Management, I’ll be able to combine my technical capabilities with my managerial abilities. My lecturers praised me for coming up with concepts that were both practical and effective. My undergraduate degree was important in bolstering my foundation and comprehension of Civil Engineering principles. Structural Analysis, Building Planning & Drawing, Building Measurements, and Construction Technology were my favorite topics in school.
In 2016, I joined Afcons Infrastructure Limited, a subsidiary of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, as a Junior Civil Engineer. I obtained experience at Afcons working on a variety of residential projects throughout the country. I was promoted to Senior Engineer, Quantity Surveying in 2018, which is an interesting post for a management-oriented Engineer like me.
I managed to deliver every work and fulfill deadlines with a team of ten people under my supervision. Being named the Star Employee for the year 2019 was a huge motivator for me, and it helped me quadruple my efficiency and output. In the year 2020, I graduated from Leeds Beckett University with an online Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying Commercial Management. I’ve enrolled in another Columbia University, New York, Coursera online course on Construction Management Specialization. It is a seven-month program that will undoubtedly prepare me to deal with the obstacles that the Construction Management sector presents.
I am interested in a number of extracurricular activities in addition to my core studies. I have constantly participated in a variety of events outside of school and college, ranging from cooking various cuisines to studying other languages. I am fluent in Spanish, Italian, and French (four levels). I am a certified yoga instructor who has led courses in both my office and my apartment complex. Traveling, meeting new people, and learning about their cultures are some of my favorite things to do. Adventure sports interest me, and I try to spend as much time outside as I can. My favorite adventure sports include mountain biking and paragliding.
My construction sector expertise, as well as my management-focused work, have well equipped me for a career in construction management. In the future, I would like to focus on the application of management ideas to various building projects. In the long run, I’d like to apply my management skills to large-scale Civil Engineering projects.
