Fashion and trending styles have been an essential part of my life since I was born and raised in a metropolis; whether it’s textiles, clothing, or accessories. The world of design has always captivated me, and I became an excellent candidate for Fashion Designing because of my keen interest in drawing, styling, and modeling. Because I excelled in fundamental academic subjects like Mathematics and Science, I was torn between two options before deciding on a career path. With the help and encouragement of my friends, family, and mentor, I decided to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Designing, which allowed me to express myself creatively. My experience in the design sector has inspired me to widen my views, so I’ve decided to pursue a Master’s degree in Fashion Technology at a globally recognized fashion institute. Gaining a comprehensive understanding of my sector and the changing demands of markets would be a great addition to my portfolio.
I went to the National Institute of Fashion Technology for my Bachelor’s in Fashion Designing. The course I chose was fascinating because it exposed me to the current fashion aesthetics and allowed me to think beyond the box. My college course’s extensive syllabus takes credit for my professional accomplishments. I enjoyed working on numerous projects and concepts during the course that required rigorous attention to detail and comprehensive input from me.
I entered the ‘Budding Designers In India’ national fashion design competition. ‘Designing Female Formal Wear for a Global Conference’ was the topic given to me. Different designations in the organizational structure, geographical location, seasonal weather conditions, countries represented, and cultural, social, and networking events to be hosted were all taken into account when designing the designs. I was awarded second place, and two of my concepts were purchased by a Mumbai-based design studio.
After finishing my Bachelor’s in Fashion Designing in 2019, I was offered a position with Madsam Tinzin in New Delhi, India. I had the good fortune of being guided by well-known stylists and receiving their opinions on my work. Working directly with celebrity stylists and their teams was nearly a dream come true for me. Many Film Costume Designers came to me to thank me for my joint work with well-known designers.
In 2019, I finished two post-graduate diploma courses: ‘Entrepreneurship and International Business Management for Luxury Goods and Accessories’ through Coursera, sponsored by Mod’Art International, France, and ‘Become a Celebrity Stylist’ through the JD Institute of Fashion Technology in Mumbai. ‘Become a Celebrity Stylist’ was a fantastic platform for me to learn about the most popular styles. Both classes were crucial in inspiring me to pursue a degree in fashion design at an internationally recognized institution. I also participated in the JD Institute’s Online Designing Campaign. This campaign gave me a lot of practice with digital marketing and social media to make a good first impression and increase the brand’s social media presence.
Drawing and painting portraits were my extracurricular pursuits throughout high school and college. My paintings have won numerous honors, and one of my Modern Art Paintings was featured in a Young Painters’ Exhibition at the Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai. In high school and college, I participated in practically every fashion show and even designed the outfits for other entrants. I was affiliated with several modeling agencies, which provided me with numerous modeling and branding opportunities. I also walked the runway for Fashion Guru during Lakme Fashion Week. I modeled for Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail’s winter and summer clothing lines, as well as Reliance Trends’ in-house brands. Outside of the fashion business, I enjoy cooking and hiking.
I believe that over the years, I have prepared myself to take a significant step forward in my fashion career. I believe that with a Master’s degree, I will be able to create my own position as a Fashion Enthusiast in the worldwide market. This education qualifies me to work with luxury businesses and elite designers because of its influential, progressive, and inventive curriculum. I want to start my own boutique-style studio. I also want to improve my advanced technical skills, which are critical in my field. I want to push the boundaries of specialized craftsmanship by immersing myself in textile companies’ fundamental design activities. In the long run, I’d like to help entrepreneurs all over the world launch new clothing or accessory businesses.
